Complete ESD-controlled laboratory for electronics maintenance operations

Kochi Metro needed a fully controlled electrostatic discharge environment for their electronics maintenance and assembly operations. The sensitivity of the components being handled meant that a standard workspace was not an option. Any uncontrolled static discharge risked damaging equipment worth significantly more than the lab itself.

TMCI designed and installed a complete ESD-proof laboratory. Every surface, every workstation, every accessory - flooring, mats, benches, grounding points, wrist strap testers configured to ANSI-ESD S20.20 standards.

Entry to the lab requires ESD shoes and protective coats. The environment is controlled from the moment you walk in. The lab has been operational since 2020 and remains in active daily use.
